Indy 500 Ladies of SoBro Style

Indianapolis is race central when the calendar shifts from April to May. Everything revolves around the Indy500 and the festivities fill up the schedule as the count down to the Greatest Spectacle in Racing Memorial Day Weekend. Weather updates all focus on race day weather and oh how the checkered flags appear.

Still separated, our cohorts held separate “races.” Fine. It was more of unified “how can we make this shoot as difficult for mom as possible?” Especially when it was discovered that the floorboard of their cars were nonexistent and not even calcium worms were appropriate encouragement. Turns out Cohort 1 was up for the challenge, whereas Cohort 2 not as accustomed to photo shoots just didn’t get it.

Amelia was the star of the shoot, although her racing skills need much improvement. She decided to create some of the more memorable 103th race moments like Graham Rachael and Sebastian Bourdais’ post collision interaction. Our vain little driver also realized she could make sure her head plumage wasn’t losing volume from her helmet with the vehicles mirrors.
